Playing with widescreen monitor

So I have a widescreen monitor with a native resolution of 3440 x 1440. If I try to play KQ1 AGD in fullscreen it just stretches it out all the way to the left and right sides. If I try to play it windowed it just pops up in TINY, TINY window and I can't make it any bigger or smaller. If I try to reduce my resolution, for example, to 1024 x 768, the windowed version is STILL super tiny and if I try to run it in fullscreen it just stretches the screen to both sides again.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I would say at a best guess, ScummVM now supports these games, so try that and see how it runs.

This is the AGD KQ remakes. NOT anything from steam. I can kind of get the Steam classic games to run if I just change it to a window mode and just make everything 225% bigger.

As far as I’m aware the AGD Interactive Kings Quest 1 VGA remake has never been available on Steam.

Are you confusing it with Sierra’s official King’s Quest 1 EGA or VGA version?

(Both the original AGI KQ1 and the SCI remake are EGA.)

The KQ collection on Steam doesn't include the AGDI remake, but also, it runs on DOSBox instead of SCUMMVM. So I'm a bit confused.

I'm strictly talking about the AGD remake games, like KQ1 and KQ2 and QfG2.

Yes, so as I suggested. I would try the AGDI remakes in ScummVM which will handle all the graphics and allow you to customise.
