heh I got those games from Kazaa years ago and even got Vice city and GTA3 from it. although now that the first 2 are kinda legal I geuss I can stop hiding em. Anyone else think the whole series will become like this within 10 years?

Kazaa is soooo lame.

Plus if you look at the site the games have been modified to run on newer computers so worth the download I think!

Anyway back to playing San Andreas off my PS2 Hard drive!

I own GTA2 for the PS1 somewhere. Crap game.

I use WINMX(?) much better than kazaa. Not as many virus's.

Bit Torrent has no viruses and you never download a file that has been renamed and is really something else.

Plus it has all the new stuff straight away. Its the second best file sharing method, the first being the straight from the horses mouth IRC lol

Kazaa ITSELF is filled with virii, so if you used the oficial free version as your client, I strongly doubt that. It installs a ton of spyware (which you CAN disable, but then you can't use Kazaa), and "forgets" to remove all of it when you uninstall it.

Besides, with all the junk that's on there, I'm surprised so many people still use it.

I used Kazaa Lite for a while (hacked version without the ads/spyware), but it was too slow and downloads were just renamed files. Yuck.

I use BitTorrent and eDonkey2k these days, but I don't download much games. I try to buy them whenever possible.

Kazaa is not that great. it only downloads about 4kb per seconds

Yeah Kazaa is really bad for spyware/adware.

Thing is for most people, that is stuff you don't see--so you don't know about it. That's the problem, most people are not aware of the third party software it installs... and as already mentioned, when you remove Kazaa, all the other programs remain. Kazaa leaves you some nice *presents* - only they ain't from Santa. Just not worth it.

again I say it I have never recieved anything bad from kazza. I used kazzaa lite and it is easy to tell when something is fake. Hmm passionate men download? a 2KB software file? that's gotta be a good movie. and 4kbs a second? I can get upwards to 300 and averaged at about 40! Also I was getting movies before they came out. I had Harry Potter 2 cam corder version 2 weeks before it was brought to theaters. I think it is pretty sweet. Alas my gf deleted half my computer cause she is retarted and that was the last I saw of her.

The download page works now, I'm currently downloading GTA2. I remember playing it a few years ago and I think it was pretty fun.

Fribs, no amount of explaining is going to change the fact that we have rules against links to abandonware sites in place here. So rather than post a long message about why I shouldn't remove your post, you're better off keeping the "no abandonware links"-rule in mind.

I doubt Sierra would appreciate the site (or us linking to it), as lots of Sierra classics appear to be hosted on it, which kinda made it a no-brainer as to whether or not I should delete the link to it.

NEVER USE OFFICIAL KAZAA (unless you want to destroy your computer...)

thats cuz you dont know how to use it!!!

get kazza lite or other hacked (diet kazaa sux)

when you download look for most sources (i prefer also intergity exelent)
and when you download click at least once on find more sources to download and easily you will get at least 40k a sec (i had 6 ppl each 10k for sec so 60k for a sec!)

1 more thing, kazaa is NOT for big files mostly for songs and stuff, big stuff use emule, i dont like bittorent.

but dont use emule unless you know a website that works with it, i know a website in hebrew that has thousends of links (they checked them, and renamed them) and they updated emule to better version and i got in the new update 10k for sec with emule (ITS ALOT).
this website is in hebrew.(this website also works with bittorent)
programs and explanation how to put subtitiles in the movie and how to make it DVD.

in the site i said in the up there i download quest for glory 1 - 4!!!(4 has voice version!!!!!)(its for windows so i can play it easily in my computer), and maybe later ill download quest for glory 5, also lesuire suit larry 7 and whatever movie (with subtitels) just came out....

also i found a website (english) for emule that has EVERY tv series ever... (also can request in forums) i found ALL seasons for "angel" and "buffy the vampire slayer", and billion of other (even anime!)[/b]

if you installed official then try to remove all you can(and kazaa) and use great program "ad-aware" by lavasoft, and use it and delete anything you see(you should do it once in a day or 2) (it search very fast and let you delete any spyware and adware you have on you computer.

Hey Erps, have no worry about this because most of those games are so old now and it doesn't even work for the computer I'm using now. Only the latest games works in the computer I am using now. And lately I have been playing Syberia 2. Very good game and the game has for sure earned the Inventory award. To bad it was so short game.

BTW my old computer are still in repairshop because it has been so difficult to find the new power engine for it because it is so old and not sold in every computer shop nowadays. But there is maybe a chance to save the hard disk. But if it does not work then I can then say goodbye to Leisure Larry game I was working on.

I think I can finally now work on Jones in fastlane since it is only the sound problem and graphics problem I had with that game. Many of those abandonware game really needs to be upgradet.

So maybe I will try to remake Quest for glory 1 too someyday because of that sound problem.

As you all know most of the computers nowadays contains much better sound cards and graphics cards so most of the old classic Sierra game are getting more and more worthless because it doesn't work fine in any computers nowadays.

So don't throw your old computer in garbage after you get a newest computer because it is the only computer you can use to play all of those old classic sierra games. Old games works only best on old computers.

But if the old computer are damaged and can never be fixed again then throw it then. I just hope it will not lend on me in my case right now.

You need to upgrade all of those King Quests game and Quest for Glory games because if this problems and situation. But I'm not saying that you should be the only one to do it. But times fly so fast when you are still working on the remakes.

Let us just hope that whatevever you are doing was not a waste of time.

And well I guess I need to beg sorry again. .........Sorry Erpy....I just thought it was ok. I will not make that mistake again ...I promise you that.

Programs like Dosbox and VDMsound tend to resolve a lot of the issues you mentioned, even on newer computers. Which is why remaking a game just to clean out one or two tiny bugs tends to be a total waste of time.
