Horrible tech problems
Seems like this game runs worse on my PC then KQ2 did. After enjoying KQ2 quite a bit I thought I would give this game another go. I installed the game and the music pack and started it up. In the 320 resolution the screen is mis aligned and it cuts off about 1 inch of the left and 1 inch of the top. In 640 mode it does the same, and in 960 it works fine but is in slow motion.

The game is pretty much unplayable for me like this. I am guessing AGI studios is not compatible with Windows XP, much like everything else it seems. Anybody know of any fix for this?

Actually...
I believe that's just a case of your monitor not being configured right for those resolutions. I think there should be some buttons on the monitor itself to re-align it.

Re: Actually...
If I do that won't it screw it up when I do everything else? I don't want to be changeing my monitor every time I play the game and everytime I am done? Id did this on KQ2 but I selected that option for some other mode and it fixed it up.

Re: Actually...
Yeah, KQ2 was made with a more recent version of AGS. KQ1VGA version 3.0 will very likely have the same option as the one in KQ2's setup.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashs ...

Re: Actually...
Any idea when 3.0 will be out?

Re: Actually...
No actual date. We're gonna start working on it after all serious issues in KQ2 have been ironed out.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashs ...

Re: Actually...
Monitor alignment settings are dependent on resolution, usually. I shrank my monitor to the smallest screen area as possible to help the pixelisation, and it doesn't affect my working resolution of 1280x1024.
